A whole-of-organisation culture transformation

We partnered with an Australian subsidiary of a global automotive group to lead a whole-of-organisation culture transformation. Following a period of leadership instability and declining sales, a culture and values initiative was launched to reset culture, rebuild energy and alignment, and drive measurable improvements in performance.

Challenge

Challenge

In 2023, the organisation appointed a new Managing Director following several years of Executive Leadership disruption and declining sales. The business needed more than operational fixes – it required a cultural reset that would unite the team around shared values and create a foundation for sustainable performance improvement.

Solution

Solution

We worked with the Executive Leadership Team to develop a three-year strategic direction underpinned by five crowdsourced cultural Drivers. The initiative comprised four interconnected elements: executive leadership development to inspire the Drivers, leadership development to embed Driver behaviours, Masterclasses for all employees to activate those behaviours in daily work, and a comprehensive communications program including Town Halls, cascaded messaging, and newsletters. A Rewards and Recognition program was launched mid-year to reinforce the new culture, supported by 67 volunteer Champions.

Impact

Impact

Within 12 months, every team member had completed their cultural Driver learning programs. Twelve projects were commissioned, several already completed with tangible results. The program concluded with a Hackathon generating cost reduction initiatives that have since delivered financial ROI. Monthly Town Halls and newsletters sustained cultural momentum throughout, and the culture has measurably shifted across the organisation.
